Introduction.

The Model Electronics Company designs electronic projects for the hobbyist who likes to ‘do-it-himself’ rather than purchase ready made commercially available items. Most projects are small and, usually, offer extra functionality not available on commercial units for a fraction of their cost. Each of the projects is described, both its operation and assembly, in an article that may be obtained by visiting the Projects page.
Note that we also offer the kits with a ready-built and tested PCB for those people who do not wish to construct this component themselves.

A recent introduction is the FlytProf range of miniature, microcontroller based flight controllers for electric free-flight models. FlytProf-Lite is the first to be launched and provides the user with programmable motor power and run duration settings along with a selectable flight duration. A more versatile derivative, known as FlytProf-Four, is now available and provides the user with up to 4 fully programmable Flight Phases permitting greater control of in-flight behaviour.

We also have a range of preprogrammed micro-controller products more suited to experienced enthusiasts who prefer to design their own circuits. Each of these products is described in detail on a data-sheet, accessible from the Products page, which includes a suggested application circuit.

Additionally, we provide a series of Technical Notes with each explaining a different electronics related subject in an easy-to-understand way.
